Living in lisbon is different than living in hermosa beach. I love both of them. This is how they are different, everything is smaller! This is how it is the same, we have a park right next to our house!!! Every Tuesday and Saturday in our neighborhood in Lisbon there is a street market. They sell, books, clothes, old toys, paintings, pins, tiles, tea sets, and more!!! In Hermosa we have a farmers market two times each week, too. In Lisbon THERE IS EVEN A ITALIAN RESTAURANT RIGHT NEXT TO OUR HOUSE!!!!!!!!! Just like Bottle Inn in Hermosa Beach!! It even smells like fresh garlic too!!
Even though I don’t speak Portuguese, I communicate with faces. With kids it is easy. We play a LOT of games like tag. I also use my hands to point and my head to nod. The park outside our house has really fun exercise equipment to play on!! We met lots of friends there and at the playground. There is also a dog park right in the park with lots of cute dogs in it. We play with the dogs a lot.
To get around Lisbon we walk a lot. We walk everywhere! We also take the tram # 28! It is very famous and fun. We also Uber if we are going far.
In Lisbon we have seen many monuments like Pantaeo Nacoinal, St. George`s Castle, Church of St. Vicente, Belem tower, Discovery Tower, and Jeronimos Monastery were Vasco da Gama is buried. He was a famous Portuguese explorer and the first European to get to india by sea. He died from malaria in 1524 on his last voyage to india. They brought his body back to his home in Lisbon to bury him. We have to take malaria pills when we go to Thailand and Cambodia and Vietnam.

Hey Anna and Cole. Love the photos and descriptions below. You are very informative and it all sounds so interesting. Susie would like the food stuff. Miss you guys, but have a great time.
Hello Aunt Susie, We miss you. How are your butterflies doing? Are they still little caterpillars? Or are they big beautiful butterflies? Sincerely, Anna
I am enjoying the photos- seeing your beautiful children with amazing scenery and architecture in the background. I am also learning a lot and thanks for that. Never too old to learn new things.
Lisbon sounds awesome! It seems modern yet historical at the same time. Also, my family was inspired by your family’s minimalism on our vacation to Trinidad (yet we packed even more then you for only three people)
Haha. I feel like we packed a lot.But I like wearing the same clothes most days because it makes it makes it really easy to pick out an outfit. I bought a new skirt in France and I wear it everyday. Love, Anna
